Privacy Policy

Effective November 4, 2026

The short version: Radio Tiles doesn't collect your personal data. There is no account, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking. What you set up in the app stays on your own devices, and we, Kristal Studios, never receive it.

What stays on your devices

• Your stations, their order and artwork style.
• Song history (Recently Played and Top of the Week).
• The name you enter for the greeting and your temperature unit.

This data is stored on your iPhone and shared only with your own Apple Watch, widgets and CarPlay. It is never sent to us. Deleting the app deletes it.

Location and weather

If you allow it, Radio Tiles uses your approximate location (about 1 km accuracy) to show the local weather and your city on the home screen. To do this, the location is sent to Apple's WeatherKit and geocoding services. It is not sent to us and not stored by the app. Apple handles this data under its own privacy policy. You can turn location access off at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Location Services.

Station directory, streams and artwork

• When you browse or search in Explore, the app sends your search words and the country or genre you picked to Radio Browser, a free community directory of radio stations.
• When you play a station, your device connects directly to that station's stream server. The app may also load station logos and song artwork from the station's or the directory's servers.
• Play in Apple Music looks up the current song with Apple's iTunes Search service and, with your permission, plays it in the Music app.

Like any internet connection, these services can see your device's IP address. They are run by third parties under their own policies. We don't control them and receive no data from them.

Purchases

Radio Tiles Pro is sold through the App Store. Apple processes the payment, and we never see your payment details. The app checks whether you have Pro with Apple, on your device.

What we don't do

• No account or sign-up.
• No advertising and no advertising identifiers.
• No analytics or third-party tracking code.
• No selling or sharing of personal data.
• No tracking across other apps and websites.

Children

Radio Tiles is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from children, or from anyone else.

Your rights

Because we don't hold personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete. All app data lives on your devices and is removed when you delete the app. If you have a question about your rights under the GDPR, the CCPA or other privacy laws, please contact us.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
